Day 17 Betty and Franc - Headed home from our travels

We are getting ready to leave the ski resort today and first we wanted to grab some breakfast....


Oatmeal, fruit cup, hash browns, bagel

 Since we starved ourselves yesterday we ordered every ala carte item we could find!

Traveling home we stopped at one of our favorite places to eat. North Country Brewing in Slippery Rock, PA. This is a brew pub with fantastic craft beers and awesome food. Yes, their beer is Vegan ;-)   We ordered their hummus plate (which changes weekly) and it was a spicy jalapeno dill hummus which was really interesting. The plate also had apple slices, pita bread and olives to round it off. We then ordered a falafel pita which came with their killer sweet potato chips. Next we had an order of deep fried pub pretzels with a tangy mustard and horseradish sauce. The pretzels and sweet potato chips are so good I don't think we've ever had a meal without ordering them! If your into craft beers, this place has some great ones. I had a nut brown ale and Betty had a beer with a honey flavor (I think it was called Rock Dew) - both were fabulous. Get a growler to go so you can enjoy the brew at home. Please go check out this place if you are anywhere near Slippery Rock, Pa it's really awesome and worth the drive.

Hummus of the day Jalapeno and dill :-)

 We ordered so much that we ended up bringing the falafel and a bunch of the hummus home. Yummo.
